New study into shark behavior during hurricanes
Hakai Magazine has published an article about research that Grace Casselberry of the University of Massachusetts Amherst has been doing about the reaction of sharks to hurricanes. It seems that they sense the changes in atmospheric pressure that precede these weather events, and head for the safety of deep water.
Nikon adds ProRes RAW support to Z6 and Z7
ikon has announced a paid upgrade for the Z6 and Z7 cameras that adds the option of the external recording of ProRes RAW video. In order to do so, the camera will need to be equipped with an Atomos recorder connected via an HDMI 2.0 connection. The updates also added CF Express memory card support. This will be added to compatible D5, D850 and D500 cameras.

Seacam announces Seaflash 160 Strobe
Seacam has formally announced the new Seaflash 160 Digital strobe. Featuring both electrical and fiber optic triggering, the strobe has an output of 160 Ws with a color temperature of 4500°K. Powered via a NiMh battery pack, it also offers high-speed sync, an OLED that rotates for a correct viewing angle, and a 250 lumen spotting light.

Jean-Michel Cousteau softens opposition to Caymans cruise port development
Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of the famous underwater explorer and filmmaker Jacques Yves Cousteau, has performed an apparent volte-face and significantly toned down his previously strenuous opposition to a contentious plan to expand Grand Caymans’ George Town Harbor. It is also reported the Cousteau has accepted a role with one of the companies that are funding the planned development.
Adobe releases significant updates to iOS and iPadOS Lightroom apps
Adobe has released a new version (5.1.0) of their Lightroom for iOS and iPadOS. It can now import RAW files directly from a card reader attached to either of the devices and can export images in multiple formats, sizes, watermarks and color spaces.
