Compact Flash Association announces CFexpress specifications
The Compact Flash Association has announced that there will be three versions of their new CFexpress format cards. Within the CFexpress 2.0 specification are three versions, designated types A, B, and C. Type B is identical in form to current XQD cards and will be capable of transfers rates of up to 2,000 MB/s. Type A will be smaller for use with compact devices and will have a transfer rate of 1,000 MB/ while type C will be larger and offer 4,000MB/s.
Wetpixel/Under the Jungle Cave Photography Workshop is open for bookings
Wetpixel will be hosting an intensive photographic workshop focusing on capturing stunning imagery of the underground world. The workshop will be held for 8 to 11 July 2020 in the epicenter of beautiful decorated caves, Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula in conjunction with Under the Jungle and photographer Tom St George. These caves offer an ideal environment to capture amazing images, with a variety of environments to allow for people with different experience and qualifications.
UW Technics ships TTL converter for Panasonic cameras
UW Technics is shipping their TTL converter for Panasonic mirrorless cameras. Capable of providing both electrical and optical outputs (when used with appropriate bulkheads), the circuit is designed to be user-installed into Nauticam housings. It is powered from the camera’s hotshoe and can be used in both TTL and manual modes with many Inon, Sea$Sea, Ikelite and Subtronic strobes.

Ikelite ships housing for Sony a6400
Ikelite is shipping their housing for the Sony a6400 mirrorless camera. The 200DLM/C housing is compatible with Ikelite’s DLM series ports and has accessory ports for an optional vacuum system and TTL converter. Fiber optic ports are fitted as standard.

Blackmagic Pocket Camera gets RAW support
Blackmagic Design has announced a firmware update that adds support for Blackmagic RAW to the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. Firmware 6.2 offers the options of 3:1, 5:1, 8:1 and 12:1 constant bit-rate recording or between constant quality Q0 and Q5 recording in a RAW format. Blackmagic RAW can be edited in DaVinci Resolve or a sidecar file can be generated which allows the footage to be edited in other applications.
Gates releases details of housing for RED TOUCH 7” monitor
Gates Underwater Products has published details of their housing for the RED PRO TOUCH 7” monitor. Featuring a cable with a “pass-through” design, the housing is slightly buoyant in the water. It has four assignable control buttons, and the monitor is powered from the camera.
