Ikelite ships housing for Olympus Tough TG-5
Ikelite are shipping their housing for the Olympus Tough TG-5 compact camera. It is constructed of their new ABS-PC blend with a side mounted shutter release lever and a new zoom control. The housing has 2 fiber optic ports for strobe triggering and a 67mm thread on the lens port for accessory lenses.
Video: Scottish grey seal freed from fishing line
After divers off the north coast of Scotland tried unsuccessfully to free a Scottish grey seal from tangled fishing line, rescuers from the Hillswick Wildlife Sanctuary arrived on the scene, caught the seal, and cut it free. Although the seal appears to dangle by its neck in the video, the rescuers saw the seal surface several feet away from the boat and swim away unharmed. Image from Shutterstock.
Update: Electronics travel guide for underwater image makers
The rules regarding the carrying of electronic goods in the cabins of aircraft for some flights into the US or UK have been relaxed today. Flights with Etihad Airways, Emirates Airline and Turkish Airlines no longer have restrictions on them (this is currently pending with the latter into the UK). The ban still affects image makers visiting Egypt’s Red Sea and frequent travelers Saeed Rashid and Terry Steeley have kindly shared their thoughts and strategies for coping with the additional security measures in Egyptian airports for the Wetpixel community.

Loupedeck Lightroom control system launches in US
A new photo editing console specially designed to work with Adobe Lightroom has been announced by Loupedeck. It features scrolling wheels, dials and buttons that replace keyboard and mouse for editing. It is supplied with custom software and will work with both Windows and Mac systems.
Video: Blue whale lunge feeding in Monterey Bay
Earth Touch News has published a video of a blue whale lunge feeding in Monterey Bay. Blue whales, the largest animals on earth, are some of the rarest to encounter in the wild. Even more so to get a perfect view of a blue whale feeding on krill, their main food source. But, wildlife photographer Slater Moore did just that while on a whale watching boat off Monterey last month.

Underwater Photography (UwP) Magazine issue 97 is now available to download.
