National Geographic has published 17 of underwater photographer David Doubilet’s most “jaw-dropping” images as well as an interview in honor of World Oceans Day. Doubilet, widely considered one of the most influential underwater photographers of all time, had his first image published in National Geographic magazine in 1972. It is fitting to choose the images of such a well respected photographer as a window into the ocean on this day.
